A Change of Season Brings a Stunning Installation and Tempting Holiday Package to The Como Melbourne

Accor

The newly renovated and relaunched Como Melbourne which is now part of the MGallery Collection has unveiled a stunning 'Como Harvest' installation which ties in with the Winter Masterpieces exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria of which Accor is a sponsor.

As part of the Como Harvest, the mezzanine level of The Como Melbourne has been transformed into a veritable garden with decor highlights from local retailers Exhibit Interiors, The Industrial Revolution and Trove. Furniture has been sourced from Melbourne based Thonet. All Exhibit Interiors, The Industrial Revolution and Trove items on display can be purchased from the correlating stores which are located on Chapel Street, South Yarra the same street as the hotel.

Created by renowned local stylist, Natalie James who is known for her penchant for colour, the Como Harvest is influenced by autumn's traditional warm and earthy tones.

"I wanted the Como Harvest installation to be natural, rustic and organic while also playing off The Como's clean, sleek and vibrant interiors. The Como Melbourne has always pushed the boundaries when it comes to having a bit of fun while remaining very chic, and I think the Como Harvest is a great representation of this. It's great to see the concept come to life," said Natalie.

General Manager for The Como Melbourne, Cleo Seaman, said "we wanted to create a talking and picture point for our guests, and with the change in season along with the incredible Winter Masterpieces exhibition which is on at the NGV, the Como Harvest idea tied in nicely."

Guests of the hotel are invited to take photos of the installation and post photos to Twitter and Instagram with a #ComoHarvest hashtag.

Playing on the seasons and fruits du jour, The Como Melbourne will be offering a variety of seasonal menu items across its breakfast, SOBar and in-room dining menu. For instance, lavender madeleines and harvest waffles with baked seasonal fruits are a highlight on the breakfast menu. Butternut squash and apple soup is a feature on the in-room dining menu and a mouth-watering muddled Fig & Honey Sour cocktail will be available at SOBar in celebration of Como Harvest.

Complimentary seasonal apples and pears, and T2 French Earl Grey tea will available from reception throughout Como Harvest, which will run until 30 June 2013.

Complementing the Como Harvest installation, The Como Melbourne is offering a Cultural Package which includes overnight accommodation, breakfast for two people, 2 Harvest cocktails in SOBar plus tickets to the Winter Masterpieces exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria from $253 per night.

The Cultural Package at The Como Melbourne is available for stays until 7 September 2013.
