The multi-award winning Landal Gwel an Mor, 5 Star resort on the North Cornish coast in Portreath is once again able to offer press trips- safe and self-contained - fully equipped lodges set overlooking the sea and nestled in the Cornish countryside. After spending lock-down looking after local NHS and Keyworkers for free in the lodges, then warmly welcoming back visitors, it is now the time to invite our favourite journalists to come and enjoy all that Gwel an Mor has to offer.
With a range of facilities and more expected of a 5 star resort, you can indulge in safe and socially distanced activities at Gwel an Mor, as little or as much as you want. Book a private session for your family in the indoor pool and gym; indulge in a spa treatment; delight in the locally sourced winter menu in The Terrace restaurant; play a round or two at the Famous Nine golf course and fish at Clover Lake. Gwel an Mor's wildlife centre, Feadon Farm offers ranger guided experiences where visitors can get back to nature, learning and getting close to the wildlife which lives at the resort and in the surrounding countryside and how we can help. Highlights include an encounter with the reindeer who live at the resort year round, flying the owls, meeting the tame, rescue foxes and heading out on a night walk using thermal imaging to find Cornish creatures in the wild.
With lodges sleeping from 2 up to 6 guests, accessible and pet-friendly options, it is a great opportunity to get away and spend time with loved ones. Watch the winter night sky from the luxury of a private hot-tub or get cosy in front of the lodge's log burner ; wrap up warm and enjoy blustery walks on the beach or coast path taking in the Cornish countryside
You can expect a warm family welcome and a safe one, with guest and staff welfare at the forefront. Landal Gwel an Mor's high-grade cleaning policy for sanitising lodges between guests offers reassurance for anyone with safety concerns. The resort have invested in specialist equipment, a professional misting technique which kills 99.9% of all bacteria and viruses. The disinfectant mist clouds all surfaces to sanitise all areas of each lodge and once cleaned, each lodge will be swab tested so guests on arrival will be assured of the standard of cleanliness.
