Tourism professionals from Asia gathered in Incheon, Korea, to network at the 38th SKAL Asia Congress, which took place recently at Hyatt Regency Incheon and Songdo Convensia.
SKAL, founded in 1932, is one of the worlds largest organizations of travel professionals, ranging from hoteliers and travel agents to airline executives and tourism media. SKAL, a Scandinavian word meaning happiness, long life, good health and friendship, has 26,000 members in 500 clubs in five cities.
The Congress was attended by the President of SKAL International, Hulya Aslantas, and Earl Wieman, president of SKAL Asia, as well as the president of SKAL Korea and general manager of Park Hyatt Seoul, Adrian Slater.
This event was very meaningful due to it being held in Incheon, which is preparing for the Incheon International City Festival 2009 from August to October, making this a good opportunity to showcase Koreas superior travel and MICE industries.
Hyatt Regency Incheon provided special events that highlighted Koreas unique culture and charm, including Nanta and Bibimbab performances, and the Hanbok Fashion show.
Restaurant 8 at Hyatt Regency Incheon also provided exclusive dining experiences from its live open kitchens.
