Wales-based self-catering holiday cottage company Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottages have devised a new map that clues guests in on secret special offers available throughout the local area, ranging from a free loaf of bread at the bakery to a complimentary bottle of wine over dinner.
For the first time ever, the cottage agency have teamed up with over 35 local businesses to offer guests a variety of 'live like a local' experiences including free local produce, savings in local shops and discounts on entry to leading local attractions.
Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottages has been arranging luxury self-catering holidays in Wales for 35 years, and this new map is a unique example of an agency working closely alongside other local tourism businesses to offer added incentive for booking customers.
Founder Elizabeth Daniel is a director of the local tourism association and has always supported local trade; she encourages visitors to shop locally, recommends activity providers, places to eat and other unique experiences. She said:
“Our new scheme brings together what we have been doing for 35 years. We proudly recommend fantastic local businesses, ensuring that guests sample the very best local food and experiences. Having these tips set out on a map makes it easy to plan day trips, and really shows off the wealth of support and friendly welcome offered throughout the Brecon Beacons National Park.”
