OK, you got us. It's not that long an article. But it IS our 35th birthday, and we're launching the season in style.

If you didn't know, Skyros is the original holistic/alternative holiday. Founded in 1979, Skyros is the perfect antidote to 'fly and flop' holidays. It's an adventure that opens the heart, expands the mind, recharges the body and uplifts the spirit. Skyros holidays stretch the body in yoga class, windsurfing, and abseiling, or in the rhythms of salsa, nurture creativity through art, novel writing, comedy-improvisation event, singing, or allow people to take a look at what they really need in life and go forward with a new sense of purpose. Courses, usually held outdoors in the beautiful landscape, are intended to be both inspiring and entertaining. Participants can take as many or as few of them as they like, relax and enjoy the company of like-minded people and the good food. Skyros holidays has gained an outstanding reputation for its cuisine and vegetarians are always catered for.

This year, the program kicks off on 7th June with Juliette Smith and her excellent 'Building Successful Relationships' course where participants can - among other things: Develop self-awareness, discover how attitude and beliefs affect relationships and communication, learn how to handle emotions and lose the fear of conflict.

In total, there are 40 different programs with 95 different courses running in Skyros this year - enough to keep the most energetic traveller busy. However, as you might expect, the beach is amazing too. All nationalities are welcome although courses and activities tend to be facilitated in the English language.
