29 Oct: Visit St. Pete/Clearwater Brings Florida's Beer to London

St. Pete/Clearwater

Home to 17 craft breweries, including the oldest in Florida, Visit St. Pete/Clearwater invites you to taste our local brews at a media craft beer reception to launch our new Craft Beer Guide to St. Pete/Clearwater.

When?         Thursday 29 October 2015, 18:00 – 20:30

Where?        U-Brew, Arches 29-30, Old Jamaica Business Estate, SE16 4AW, a five minute walk from Bermondsey Station on the Jubilee Line (one stop from London Bridge)

Who?           Meet Dunedin Brewery founder Michael Bryant and Visit St. Pete/Clearwater's Leroy Bridges to hear first-hand why craft beer has exploded in popularity in their sunny Florida peninsula - and get a taste of Florida's oldest brewery's exclusive brews Apricot Peach Ale and American Classic IPA

What?          St. Pete/Clearwater is a sun-drenched 42 mile stretch of white sand beaches on Florida's Gulf Coast that holds the Guinness World Record for the longest stretch of consecutive sunny days (761) and is visited by more than 50,000 Brits every year. But the destination is more than just a beachy getaway - as well as a burgeoning arts scene the area is now host to a 17 brewery craft beer trail. With beers ranging from the chocolatey Manaphin Stout to Skyway Wheat there is much variety in the brews of this slice of paradise!

Join us for a beer and meet the locals from the tourist board. There will also be the opportunity to discuss the upcoming addition of 2,000 new hotel rooms over the next two years and events such as the Disney & Dali exhibition at the Dali Museum, St Pete, opening in January 2016

How?           RSVP by Friday 23 October to TeamVSPC@rooster.co.uk / 0203 440 8930

Please do also get in touch with any questions. If you're not able to attend but you are attending WTM there will be opportunities to interview representatives from the tourist board at the show.
