“Once it's in your blood, it's difficult to let go of it.” Rebecca Stephens on trekking
November 2019 marks 25 years since Rebecca Stephens became the first British woman to conquer all Seven Summits.
Rebecca Stephens is a committed trustee of the Himalayan Trust UK and has led in the past several treks for World Expeditions in the Himalaya; however, ever since she worked on a farm in Kenya as a student, East Africa has been her first love.
In addition to marking the silver anniversary of her historic feat, November 2019 will also see her leading with World Expeditions a trek in Ethiopia, a country that she has wanted to visit for decades.
“East Africa completely got under my skin. There is something achingly beautiful about the landscape and the vast open skies. I yearn for the simplicity of walking for several hours every day, feeling the earth under my feet and soaking in the fresh air.” Rebecca Stephens on returning to East Africa
