Adventure operator ready to welcome Kiwi travellers back

G Adventures is reassuring travel-starved Kiwi travellers that the adventure travel specialist and community tourism pioneer has plenty of inventory for those looking to book their long-awaited bucket list trip in 2022. To encourage Kiwis to have something to look forward to, it is extending up to 20 per cent off a wide range of its most popular Classic tours.

This month, G Adventures also celebrates having run 1,000 tours safely and successfully since September 2020 - more tours than any other operator since the onset of the global pandemic - supporting employment and boosting the local economies in countries dependent on tourism such as Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, Kenya, Morocco and Peru.

Sean Martin, managing director for G Adventures Australia and New Zealand, says G Adventures is already back running trips in more than 20 countries, and is experienced in all the new protocols required for travel as the world reopens.

“We've been taking our European and North American customers on life-changing adventures for the past year, and have 400 trips operating this month. We'll have even more options in 2022 with new countries and departures being included every month.

“We're seeing a real desire for people wanting to take those once-in-a-lifetime bucket list adventures, so we're delighted to be able to offer a healthy 20 per cent discount to help people achieve their long-awaited travel goals. Kiwis are hungry to reconnect with the world when they can, and we're ready to help them achieve that goal,” says Martin.

This month, G Adventures also started its Vaccinated Tours and Travel-Ready programs, which are an evolution of its Travel with Confidence policy which also remains in place. This policy was introduced in June, 2020, and saw the implementation of enhanced health, safety and physical distancing measures across all tours.

On Vaccinated Tours, all travellers and CEOs (chief experience officers) must have received a full COVID-19 vaccination with the final dose administered at least 14 days prior to day one of the tour. On Travel-Ready tours, all travellers and CEOs must have either received a full COVID-19 vaccination, or have a negative PCR test within 96 hours prior to day one of their tour's departure. An icon will be featured next to each trip on the website to indicate which category of tour the departure falls under.

All trips booked benefit from G Adventures' Book with Confidence policy, which lets travellers  cancel or rebook their tour up to 14 days before their departure at no extra cost.
