100 days to go until Monaco Pavilion opens at EXPO 2020 DUBAI
The countdown has begun: 22 June will mark 100 days to go until EXPO 2020 DUBAI opens. Initially planned for 2020, this Universal Exposition to be held in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates was postponed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic and will now be held from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022, though it will retain the name EXPO 2020 DUBAI. The theme, “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, is split into three strands: Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability.
The concept for the Monaco Pavilion at EXPO 2020 DUBAI is “Monaco 360°, a world of opportunities”. Through the Monaco Pavilion, Monaco Inter Expo aims to showcase the different sides of the Principality, the things that make it unique, its professions, its plans, its advantages... a reality that too often goes unrecognised.
Albert Croesi, General Commissioner of the Monaco Pavilion and Managing Director of Monaco Inter Expo explains that his “obsession was to create a Pavilion that would show the wider world that Monaco brings together talents across all fields, from medicine to art, not to mention research, security and innovation. This resulted in the Monaco 360° theme, which we will develop during the six months of EXPO 2020 DUBAI, inviting a full range of public, cultural, quasi-public and private organisations to present their areas in turn.”
