The British Guild of Travel Writers (BGTW) is excited to announce Daniel James Clarke and Renate Ruge as the new Joint Chair for 2026, following the Annual General Meeting in London.

Leading a new dynamic Board team to promote the BGTW as a consistent, active voice, supporting the good fight for a more equal travel industry, representing travel media excellence, upholding editorial values and creating opportunities for members.

Daniel James Clarke, guidebook author, travel writer and blogger says: “It's an honour and pleasure to be Joint Chair of such a long-standing and esteemed organisation. Our exciting upcoming plans include growing our BGTW Better World Symposium.”

Travel writer and photographer Renate Ruge adds: “The friendship in the BGTW means the world. Our supportive community of travel creatives is still thriving after 65 years. Long may it continue!”
