Q. How long have you been with Accor? I've been part of the family for 14 years – seven years with Mantra Group, and then seven years with Accor after Mantra Group joined the network in 2018. It's been an incredible journey to grow with two iconic companies and witness the industry evolve so much along the way.
Q. How long have you been in the travel industry? For most of my working life. Travel has always been at the heart of my career, and honestly, I can't imagine being in any other industry.
Q. In your past professional life, you were … PR has always been my career since graduating, but like many people, I had my share of casual jobs along the way - teaching dance, working in retail and waitressing. Those roles sparked my love of connecting with people from all walks of life, taught me the value of hard work, and definitely shaped the way I show up today.
Q. What is something you love about working with travel media? People who work in travel are my type of people. They're curious, adventurous and endlessly creative. I love their stories, their spirit of adventure and their worldliness. There's always something to learn from every conversation.
Q. What are your professional pet peeves? When people turn up really late to a media famil meet-up time. It can throw the whole itinerary out and keep the group waiting. I just want everyone to make the most of the experience - no one likes missing out on the fun (especially me)!
Q. What has been your most memorable press trip? Hosting press trips is hands down my favourite part of the job. Hamilton Island Race Week will always be a standout – the energy, the setting, the people – it was pure magic. Skiing in Canada was another unforgettable pinch-me moment, especially staying at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in such a magical setting.
Q. What is your favourite place to travel? Anywhere by the ocean makes me happy - it's my reset button. And Italy will forever have my heart - the food, the culture, the coastline… I'd go back in a heartbeat.
